Effect of P8RI on mesenteric ischemia/reperfusion-induced bacterial translocation. Bacterial translocation was assessed by the quantification of plasma DNA from Escherichia coli using real time PCR. Ct value represents the minimum number of cycles to detect plasma Escherichia coli DNA and is inversely correlated to the quantity of plasma DNA from Escherichia coli. P8RI administration limited the plasma concentration of DNA from E. coli compared to saline injection (*P = 0.04)
