Note that LP ratio rises almost exponentially. This increase is due to a constant elevated lactate level and a temporary rise in pyruvate level. After re-infusion of blood, a marked decrease in hemisphere glucose is seen. Time 0 indicates achievement of MAP equal to 40 mmHg
