Highest daily plasma sodium, chloride levels, cumulative fluid balance and radiographic assessment of lung edema (RALE) score in the study participants during the first 7 days of the study. There was a difference in the daily sodium and chloride levels (p = 0.04 and 0.03, respectively), but no difference between the cumulative fluid balances (p = 0.48) between the groups.
