After binding of the glucocorticoids (GCs are shown as small ellipses) as ligands to the glucocorticoid receptor GR, the immunophillins (Fkbp51, Fkbp52), heat shock proteins (Hsp70, Hsp90, p23), and chaperonic molecules dissociate and the GR translocates in the nucleus.
