Histopathological samples from duodenum. Even if not all the animals showed the same degree of edema and inflammation as those in the figure, the presented slides are representative and illustrate patterns found throughout the groups. In the 20 × magnification the difference in the inflammation degree (the amount and type of infiltrate) is shown. In the 40 × magnification it is possible to see some recurrent pattern in the Edema group, such as engorged lymphatic vessel and areas of focal necrosis
